Variant C · 2:11 a.m.

Editorial, night to dawn. The film opens on the one dark beat the voice allows, the hold happens in the dark, and the frame floods to the light canvas the moment the response is running. Typography carries the story; the app is the answer, not the subject. Runtime 0:33 at 1920×1080, 60 fps. Round 2: resident line, real captures only, rows in sync with words, the family beat opens the private link in Google Maps.

MotifLight itself. Every seam is a change in light: a night that dims, a mint bloom that becomes daylight, a dawn that arrives with the lawyer, a morning canvas the lockup sits on. Nothing else is relayed — light is.
SoundRoom tone and distant marina traffic, one held low note under the hold that lifts a fifth when the countdown starts, a soft pulse on each event line, and warmth arriving with the light: a single resolve chord at dawn.
Different becauseA is a relayed dot and B is a product demo. C is the only one that dares the dark, uses voice.md's story as spoken text, and lets copy at 96 opsz do the work the UI does elsewhere.
Copy sourcevoice.md §3 verbatim or trimmed: the 2:11 a.m. scene (resident line: "the city you call home"), "Everything else is ours now.", the EXAMPLE cascade, the dawn line, the footer posture line. No timing promises, no firm name, no kickers, no outsider framing.

02:11 It’s 2:11 a.m. in the city you call home.
Motion
Fade up from black over 40 frames onto the marina at night. Camera pushes in 4% over the whole beat (house ease, cubic-bezier(.16,1,.3,1)). The timestamp is already there; the headline rises 16 px and fades in, one line at a time on beats 2 and 3.
Sound
Room tone, distant traffic, a far-off horn. No music yet.
Hands off
The panorama never cuts. The headline dims to 40% and slides up as the next lines take its place below.

On screen
A checkpoint. A complaint you never saw coming. Your phone is about to be taken.
Motion
Three short lines land on three beats, each one brighter than the last. The camera drifts right. At the third line the member’s phone rises from the bottom edge, screen dim, the home disc just visible: the real dark home screen, recorded.
Sound
One low note begins under the third line and holds. Traffic thins.
Hands off
The phone keeps rising to centre frame; the three lines exit upward as it passes them.
Three seconds.

3 · The hold
t = 0:08 – 0:12
On screen
Three seconds. That’s your whole job. 0:03 (three dots light in turn)
Motion
Phone settles centre-right; the member holds the real disc. The hold is the app’s own ArmButton progress, recorded on the simulator in dark appearance — nothing is drawn over the screen. The three dots under the headline light on each second; the mint glow behind the phone grows with the app’s ring. Nothing else moves. This is the film’s stillest moment.
Sound
Three soft ticks, one per second, on the beat. The held note thickens under the third.
Hands off
On the third tick the ring completes and its glow blooms outward, mint to white, until the whole frame is light. The night is gone.
If the moment passes,

On screen
If the moment passes, slide “I’m safe” and nothing happens. If you can’t, ELA sends. From here on, your silence counts as a yes. (phone: SENDING HELP IN 0:23 · Send help now · Slide to cancel — I’m safe)
Motion
The bloom settles into the light canvas with a residual wash behind the phone. The phone screen crossfades from the dark home to the real light countdown; the timer runs live in mono, 0:27 down to 0:19 across the beat. The red “Send help now” is the only red in the frame. Copy fades in left, the second paragraph two beats later.
Sound
The held note lifts a fifth. A quiet metronome, one click per second, joins under the timer.
Hands off
The metronome stops mid-bar as the phone screen cuts to the case: the countdown reached zero and ELA sent. The copy on the left clears in one downward wipe.

Motion
Headline snaps in at 600 weight, the first time the film uses a heavy weight: the pronoun shift is the product. Four mono event lines type in, one per beat, and the real “reaching your law firm” screen builds row by row on the same frames: when a line lands, its row appears or flips on the phone — never before. The board shows the instant line 2 has landed: two lines, two rows; consulate and trusted-contact rows are still to come. The EXAMPLE label is present from the first line.
Sound
A warm pulse on each line landing, rising in pitch through the four. The metronome is gone.
Hands off
On the fourth line (“a private live status link”) the member’s phone slides left and a second phone rises on the right: the person they named.

Motion
The contact’s phone rises from the bottom right (house ease, 450 ms). On it, the real Google Maps view the private link opens — the pin drops on the beat, then the map settles with a 3% drift. Their notification and the case-status page are not mocked: the message is server-authored, and the status page is not shown. The Google attribution stays in frame, unaltered.
Sound
A single soft pulse when the pin lands, the same family as the cascade pulses, a fourth higher.
Hands off
The map’s daylight bleeds into the frame: the canvas warms and the dawn panorama fades up behind both phones as they drift off right.
Your phone can be locked, dead, or in someone else’s pocket.
The response runs on our servers, not your screen. A human ops team follows every case from first second to last.

t = 0:24 – 0:28
On screen
Your phone can be locked, dead, or in someone else’s pocket. The response runs on our servers, not your screen. A human ops team follows every case from first second to last.
Motion
The dawn skyline is full-bleed and barely moving: a 2% drift left. The phone is gone from the frame on purpose. The card rises from the bottom (16 px, house ease) and holds. This is the film’s one promise sentence, so it gets the whole beat and a still camera.
Sound
Warmth arrives with the light: the low note resolves into a single held chord, soft, with the room tone returning underneath.
Hands off
The dawn haze brightens into the day panorama; the card dissolves as the morning headline takes its place at top-left.

Motion
Daylight. The real light home screen, “Protected”, calm state, slides in from the right and settles: the same screen we saw dark in frame 2, now in the light. Headline lands in two beats, the last two words at 600 weight.
Sound
The chord opens up, a second voice above it. Traffic and birds, distant.
Hands off
The panorama fades to the plain canvas and the phone’s keyhole disc scales up and out of the phone, becoming the mark of the lockup.

Motion
The disc from the home screen lands as the keyhole; the wordmark slides out from behind it with .14em tracking; the posture line, the chip and the URL arrive on three beats. Small print is static from the first frame of the beat. Hold 1 s clean.
Sound

Real screens vs code

FrameSourceHow
2, 3Real: home “Protected”, dark; the hold is the real ArmButtonRecord on the simulator in dark appearance via the force-state deep link, holding the disc for the real 3 s so the app’s own progress ring is on film. Nothing drawn on the screen; the three dots and the glow behind the phone are Remotion layers outside the screen. No static mid-hold capture exists in v3 (hold-rehearsal-*.png is the practice screen; flow-arm.mp4 is a pre-retheme gold capture) — both unusable, hence recorded at build time.
4Real: pre-dispatch countdown, lightRecord the live countdown so the mono timer is genuine; trim to 0:27 → 0:19. Nothing overlaid on the phone.
5Real: active case, “reaching your law firm”, light — rows in syncRecorded in the reaching state (no firm name, no timing line). The harness steps the timeline states so each row appears/flips on the frame its line lands; where a state cannot be stepped live, the recorded delivered rows stay masked (canvas-coloured reveal) until their frame. The phone is never ahead of the words.

Attribution kept, imagery unaltered; pin drop and drift are camera moves on the still. The family’s case-status page is NOT shown (it is still on the old gold-on-ink language) and no message bubble is mocked.
7Real: home “Protected”, calm, lightStatic recorded frame inside the code phone frame.
